Guatemala Hospital and School Project

Since 2010, Humanity First USA has been collaborating with Humanity First Guatemala to implement direly needed health and human development projects. Our achievements in the last five years complement the dedication and support of our donors and volunteers of Humanity First USA and the remarkable performance of volunteers and staff members of Humanity First Guatemala.

Humanity First projects have been successfully operating in Guatemala for several years, including the HF Computing & Language Academy, Gift of Sight missions to perform free eye surgeries and train local healthcare professionals, Gift of Health missions to provide access to free medical and dental services in rural communities, and Water for Life projects. As of 2015, Humanity First has served more than 30,000 Guatemalans in over 25 communities.

As a result of Humanity First's constant support over the recent years the municipality of Alotenango has donated vast land including three standalone buildings valued at over $2 million to Humanity First. Their generous contribution came with the request to establish a school and a hospital to benefit more than 300,000 Guatemalans living in the underserved and low-income communities of the entire Sacatepéquez district.

After critical repairs to one of the buildings, Humanity First opened doors to the Masroor Ahmad School on January 15, 2015 with 200 students and plans to expand the school to serve 400 students. In order to establish the Tahir Ahmad Hospital and expand the capacity of the Masroor Ahmad School to meet the needs of the communities, Humanity First needs your help to raise $1.1 million in 2015 to fund these projects.

Humanity First is actively raising funds for the school and hospital and urge our donors and supporters to please DONATE NOW!
